Dr. Gonzalez is an orthopaedic surgeon and sports-medicine specialist, with strong ties to the San Antonio community, having been born and raised there. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and completed an internship in categorical surgery and a residency in orthopaedics at Brooke Army Medical Center. He also underwent fellowship training in basic science research and sports medicine at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Dr. Gonzalez is board certified and serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. A retired colonel, Dr. Gonzalez has more than 21 years of service with the U.S. Army. Practice Overview
